Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled, experienced Quality Manager to manage, monitor and optimize our product quality on our production line in Taiwan. This role is critical in ensuring high-quality production while resolving production issues in a timely manner in collaboration with other stakeholders as well as optimizing our vendors' quality level and ensuring consistent and improved quality standards and regulatory requirements.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a first line of defense “onsite” to improve product quality and quality management processes.
  • Hire, lead, and mentor a team of QC/SQE engineers.
  • Initiate MSOP and quality management processes and standards.
  • Establishing short-term and long-term quality improvement plans.
  • Monitor the production partner and critical vendors' quality levels and follow up on improvement plans - Monitor production yield, analyze IQC, IPQC, and FQC defect rate and other indicators, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
  • Utilize quality metrics and statistical tools to monitor trends, identify root causes, drive improvements, and follow up on corrective actions.
  • Monitor and evaluate manufacturing processes at various supplier facilities, conduct regular audits and process evaluations to ensure adherence to company specifications and industry best practices.
  • Work in collaboration with the manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain teams to achieve the company's goals.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field (Mechanical engineering preferred)
  • 10 years + experience in quality management in global companies (preferably manufacturing in Asia).
  • Proven experience with quality improvement methodologies.
  • Experience with HW, Electronics, plastic injection, molding, and tooling.
  • Experience with configuration management processes and systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, out-of-the-box thinking, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Fluent in English – both written and spoken.
  • Willingness to travel frequently to different manufacturing facilities.
