Job Title: Quality Control TechnicianJob Description
The Quality Control Technician conducts routine sampling of raw materials and finished products. This role involves performing tests at various stages of the manufacturing process, from raw materials to the finished product, and conducting visual inspections of finished products to ensure they meet predefined quality standards. Maintaining lab cleanliness and safety standards is crucial, as well as reporting questionable test results and identifying quality problems. The technician is responsible for completing documentation to support testing procedures, including data capture forms, equipment logbooks, and inventory forms.
Responsibilities
+ Comply with Standard Operating Procedures and related systems to ensure company compliance with applicable regulations.
+ Monitor manufacturing and bottling/packaging processes as a roving inspector.
+ Receive and inspect incoming raw materials, assign internal lot numbers, and log receipt.
+ Sample and release raw materials, inspect and release packaging materials, and conduct inspection and release of finished and packaged products.
+ Prepare samples of raw materials and finished products for contract laboratory use.
+ Receive, inspect, release, store, and reconcile inventory of all product labels.
+ Investigate customer complaints as designated by the QC Manager.
+ Process, collect, and store raw materials and retained samples as designated by the QC Manager.
+ Pull and process all relabel contract jobs and bulk contract orders.
+ Utilize sampling and lab equipment including the Nicolet FT-iR and NIR-iR.
+ Destroy rejected/expired materials following company SOPs and guidelines.
+ Issue PBRs to the Bottle Room, review, and release runs.
+ Lift up to 50lbs on a repeated basis.
+ Perform all functions necessary as required by management to complete the job.
+ Prepare and complete documentation thoroughly as required.
+ Learn and operate forklift and other power equipment.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in quality control, GMP, and chemistry.
+ Proficiency in laboratory operations and troubleshooting.
+ Experience in a manufacturing environment and food quality.
+ Knowledge of GMP environment, documentation/technical writing, and sample inventory.
+ Skills in quality assurance, SOP, preparation and analysis.
+ Understanding of biology, QC, and PLC troubleshooting.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Basic math and computer skills, including MS Office and material control programs.
+ Ability to work independently, especially during the second shift where there is no QC manager.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr.
