Qualifications and Details about the Position Summary: Broad Function The QA/QC Technician is responsible for observing, verifying, and documenting compliance with the customer's requirements and job specifications. The QA/QC Technician is tasked with ensuring adherence to Brock's Quality Program. Responsibilities: Essential Functions * Responsible for pre-inspection, in-process, and final inspections of finished products. * Ensure that work is performed in accordance with Contractor Specifications and/or as directed by the Contractor's Representative. * Provide feedback, technical assistance, and corrective action to supervision * Ensure that all Brock, Client, & OSHA safety policies and procedures are being followed. * The QA/QC Technician has the authority to stop work if a condition or situation is found to exist that would compromise the quality of the service or product being furnished by the company. * The QA/QC Technician will discuss results and findings with the QA/QC Inspector and recommend any required corrective actions. * Issue the relevant Quality Records, log daily reports, non-conformance reports, and send to QC Inspector. * Properly interpret regulations, codes, and industry standards. * Monitor all quality related activities on the project. * Maintain a positive relationship between client, facility, and customer; promote a positive attitude towards coworkers. * Drive a vehicle safely in an oil and gas facility and field sites. * Compile and submit daily reports, inspection reports, and inter‐office communications. * Other duties as assigned. Other information: Working Conditions/Physical Requirements * Meet Brock's Fit for Duty Program. * Ability to meet and maintain customer requirements for site access. * Work in an indoor and outdoor environment including field, yard, shop locations, and office. * Necessary Personal Protective Equipment as required. * Travel as required. * Working at heights. * Must be able to work in all types of environments, including extreme heat or cold. * Able to work in confined spaces. * Must have required tools. * Must have transportation to and from work location. * Must maintain a clean and safe work environment. Skills & Abilities * A keen attention to detail to detect defects that could be easily missed by the consumer but still present a safety risk; ability to communicate clearly and effectively when reporting issues and defects. * Able to effectively communicate with other employees and supervisors. * Ability to work independently or as part of a team. * Ability to read and understand specifications, such as blueprints, to determine requirements. Education & Experience * 5 years minimum * Experience in Mechanical Flange/Connection Integrity Programs for the Petrochemical Industry * Experience with understanding various connection, gasket and hardware systems. * Ability to comprehend and apply technical drawings, design documents, specification and procedures * Practical knowledge of construction equipment and construction processes * Knowledge of refinery process systems and hazards * Proficient in Weld Pro-Write, Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point * Experience with a Refinery Turnaround fast paced atmosphere.
