BS in Civil Engineering/BS in Architecture with at least 2years working experience in construction industry in field of Quality Assurance and Quality Control.
At least 5 years’ experience in glass and aluminum fabrication or similar industry
At least 2 years experienced in supervising group.
Able to interpret fabrication drawings and production plan
I. Quality Management System (QMS) Implementation
Ensures Quality Plan and Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) are implemented/initiated by Factory QC Engineers.
Ensures all checking and test procedures were conducted to finished product required for the project.
Ensures all test records and panel checklists were made and filed every project. Verifies all test records and panel checklists made for accuracy.
II. Quality Assurance and Quality Control
Supervises/ensures quality control checking of all finished product in the factory were made or conducted by Factory QC Engineers.
Ensures all information about project quality requirements were received and available to use in quality control checking.
Reports any non-conformity detected in factory (such as drawings, aluminum, glass, gaskets, hardware and accessories etc.) accurately with complete information.
Preventive action. Reports any potential problem/risk may occur in your area of responsibility.
Product Design and Development Quality Control:
Checks and ensures mock-up sample of panel made and approved when new/revised aluminum profile, hardware or accessories introduced.
Prepares mock-up report result and submits to all concerned department.
Assists design team in checking of aluminum dies and gaskets prior mass production.
Responsible in checking of aluminum dies (new and revised).
Responsible in checking of gasket dies (new or revised).
Finished Products Checking & Testing:
Ensures all sealant testing and records were conducted and made in accordance with standard procedure (ie: butterfly test, snap time test, peel-adhesion test).
Ensures all finished product window panels and Curtainwalls were tested in accordance with standard procedure or project specific requirement (ie: Panel flood test, Deglaze test).
Ensures all finished product window panels and Curtainwalls were inspected and tested prior delivery to project site.
III. Non-Conforming Products and Materials
Ensures non-conforming products or materials were corrected and avoid unintended use or delivery to site.
Investigates and evaluates NCRs root cause and ensures Corrective/Preventive actions were applied by offending department.
Ensures non-conformity have made actions and close-outs.
IV. Quality Management System (QMS) Improvement
Analyzes audit findings and NCRs and make Suggestion/Recommendations for Corrective/Preventive action to avoid re-occurrences of NCRs.
Ensure corrective/preventive action applied/implemented on audit findings/NCRs.
Assists production in improvement of processes and skill levels of foremen, leadmen and fabricators/operators.
Conduct training to Factory QC staff, production foremen, leadmen and fabricators about quality procedures and quality check points. This can be done in toolbox meeting or in regular training schedules.
V. Reports Submission
Submits quality inspection reports to QA/QC Manager (weekly KPIs and monthly accomplishment reports).
