**Job Title: Quality Control Specialist**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a dedicated Quality Control Specialist to join our team. This role involves ensuring the quality of hard goods, particularly plastic products, and working closely with manufacturer partners. General office hours are from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with occasional nights required to communicate with overseas vendors. The position also involves travel to warehouses within the Vernon Hills area.
**Responsibilities**
+ Conduct quality control inspections of hard goods to ensure they meet production standards and conditions.
+ Identify and analyze the root causes of quality issues.
+ Work closely with manufacturer partners to resolve quality concerns.
+ Follow Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) processes.
+ Implement lean manufacturing practices to reduce defects.
+ Develop expertise in the products to become a subject matter expert.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience with inspection and quality control processes.
+ Proficiency in visual inspection, particularly of plastic goods.
+ Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Microsoft Office.
+ Understanding of CAPA processes and document control.
+ Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards.
+ Six Sigma certification.
+ Ability to perform root cause analysis.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience working with outside vendors and hard goods.
+ Ability to conduct phone calls at night with production teams as needed.
