Position: Engineer - Supplier Quality Manager / Supplier Quality Engineer/Product Quality

(Solar Module/tracker) (multiple positions)

Location: China

Key Responsibilities:

Supplier Quality:

• Review manufacturing quality plans, testing procedures, and type test reports for various packages.
• Visit suppliers for witnessing factory acceptance tests (on need basis).
• Formalize and establish TPIA agency contracts for inspection to ensure timely inspections within optimum cost.
• Visit suppliers for audits and the qualification process.
• Coordinate and ensure supplier performance evaluation.
• Support and guide project supplier quality leads for the implementation of product quality processes and issue resolution.
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for supplier quality issues and implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
• Visit site locations for conducting internal audits.
• Prepare standard manufacturing quality plans for key equipment.
• Coordinate inspection activities and ensure quality compliance.
• Submit monthly Management Information System (MIS) reports.
• Coordinate and organize kick-off meetings with suppliers and clients for critical packages.
• Organize and facilitate product training for team members.
• Support product quality leads (Sites) for the preparation and submission of quality dossiers.
• Attend product quality review meetings with Supply Chain Management (SCM) and project team members.

Technical Oversight:

• Demonstrate awareness of Renewable/EPC business operations.
• Understand the supplier/subcontractor qualification process.
• Oversee performance evaluation processes.
• Knowledge of various international standards required for quality management systems.
• Familiarity with IEC/IEEE standards relevant to the business perspective.
• Experience in testing and quality management at manufacturing plant level for transformers, inverters, and solar PV modules, as well as tracker-based systems, is advantageous.
• Knowledge in preparing field quality plans, method statements, and project quality plans.
• Proven experience in executing international renewable energy projects, including solar PV and related technologies.

Operational Efficiency:

• Drive initiatives for continuous improvement and innovation in supplier monitoring and quality assurance processes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience in EPC organizations (Renewable Energy, OHTL, Substation business).
• Proven experience in manufacturing plant QA/QC activities for transformers, inverters, solar PV modules, and tracker-based systems.
• Strong knowledge of quality standards and management systems.
• Experience with international projects, particularly in renewable energy.
