Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Manager to oversee quality assurance processes in construction projects, specifically focusing on OSHPD regulated facilities. The ideal candidate will ensure that all construction activities meet the required standards, quality benchmarks, and regulatory compliance, particularly in healthcare settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure compliance with OSHPD standards.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of construction sites to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to identify and resolve quality issues.
- Prepare and maintain quality documentation, including reports and records of inspections and corrective actions.
- Train and mentor staff on quality control practices and procedures.
- Evaluate subcontractor quality performance and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards, including EM-385-1-1.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality control management within the construction industry, preferably in healthcare or OSHPD projects.
- Strong knowledge of USACE and OSHPD requirements and standards.
- Experience with seismic retrofit projects is highly desirable.
- Certification as a Quality Control Manager (QCM) is preferred.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
