We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Quality Control Analyst to join our growing team. As a Quality Control Analyst, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of loan documentation supporting credit transactions drafted by the Sales, Underwriting and Closing Team. You will also oversee the annual insurance monitoring process, ensuring the timely collection and verification of required insurance documentation to maintain compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements. This position is critical in maintaining the highest quality standards for our loan documentation and insurance records, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Review loan documentation to ensure required information is accurate and meets all compliance, credit, and closing requirements
- Quality review and approval of loan funding, wires, payments and rate updates
- Ensure processed work is in compliance with procedures
- Document findings from QC reviews and communicate findings to senior leadership
- Assist in the development and implementation of a quality control program for the company
- Identify reporting requirements for QC findings and assist in developing reports
- Develop and lead departmental projects, assist in developing training materials, support Compliance, Legal and Business testing responses
- Monitor insurance compliance by verifying that appropriate insurance documentation is received annually
- Coordinate with internal teams and external parties to address and resolve insurance documentation discrepancies
- Track and follow up on outstanding insurance documents to ensure timely receipt and processing
- Maintain accurate insurance records and support the ongoing development of insurance monitoring processes
Required skills and qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or 4-5 years of Financial services or Operations experience required
- Strong analytical, problem solving and judgment skills
- Experience in audit or quality control in financial services
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to organize and prioritize work, and handle multiple tasks concurrently in a metrics driven environment
- Experience working effectively with teams and stakeholders to develop relationships and achieve common goals
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong decision-making and problem solving skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- High energy, self-motivated and ability to make immediate, logical decisions
- Proficient computer skills
Desired qualifications:
- Previous experience in underwriting, closing or portfolio management at a financial institution
