Join Greiner's Team as our next Quality Inspector for our growing Tank and Enclosure division!

1st Shift 7AM-3:30PM, M-F

2nd Shift 3:30PM-2AM, M-Th, plus 15% shift differential!

The Tank and Enclosure Quality Inspector plays a critical role in ensuring products meet established quality standards at defined checkpoints throughout the manufacturing process. In this role, you will identify, document, and communicate defects across tank, enclosure, and generator assemblies, supporting continuous improvement and overall product reliability. By maintaining consistent quality, this role also helps support strong customer relationships and reinforces Greiner’s reputation for delivering dependable, high-quality steel fabricated equipment.

Specific Qualifications

Duties include:

  • Perform in-process quality checks at designated stop points for tanks, enclosures, and generators as outlined in Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), including areas such as roof installation, enclosure assembly, final assembly, electrical, louvers, doors, and baffles.
  • Interpret and verify components and assemblies using blueprints, drawings, and other technical documentation to ensure products meet specified requirements.
  • Document defects accurately and consistently, identifying trends or repeat issues for further review.
  • Collaborate with production team members to communicate quality concerns and provide feedback on non-conformances.
  • Support containment actions and rework verification for defective products to ensure final quality standards are met.
  • Maintain records and logs of quality checks and non-conformances in line with internal quality procedures.
  • Prepare, scan, and electronically file quality control reports.
  • Participate in quality-related meetings to review defect trends and contribute to continuous improvement.
  • Educate production team members on quality control best practices when requested.
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Regular and timely attendance.

Skills And Abilities Include

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and SOPs.
  • Attention to detail with the ability to identify and document non-conformances accurately.
  • Basic understanding of quality control processes, able to learn and apply quality standards quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with production, leaders, and supervisors.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel with the ability to locate, open, modify, and save electronic files.
  • Comfortable using tablets or digital tools for quality documentation and checklists.
  • Familiarity with basic measurement tools (e.g., tape measures, thickness gauges).


Physical Demands

  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, and crouching.
  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking on uneven concrete surfaces.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for handling tools and inspecting parts.
  • Comfortable working with and around heavy equipment and machinery.
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures. Work in outdoor and indoor environments.
  • Ability to use basic tools and measuring instruments (e.g., tape measure, thickness gauge).
  • Ability to perform administrative tasks such as data entry, document review, and using computers/tablets for quality documentation.
  • Negative result on pre-employment and all active employment drug screens when required.
