OBJECTIVE
Responsible for Inspecting materials, components, intermediate and final assemblies to ensure they conform to all applicable laws, documentation and company standards. Inspect, Measure, test and approve products across the three stages of production (before, in-process, and final) to ensure quality levels are met using variations of measuring tools, utilizing and conforming to engineering drawings, test reports, COC’s and specifications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform inspections across all stages of production (piece part thru final inspection)
Effectively communicate and notify process owners of non-conformances or variations
Ensure compliance to federal and state laws, as well as company standards and specifications.
Maintain calibration of quality control equipment
Develop, approve and maintain inspection reports Prepare and maintain test data.
Evaluate data and draft reports, noting any relevant deviations from existing standards
Identify areas for quality control improvement and implement new methods accordingly
Communicate quality or compliance concerns with urgency
Perform destructive testing with machine presses
Assist in implementation of the QMS
Develop, approve and maintain inspection reports
Maintain the highest possible safety standards at all times and uphold company, customer, and industry HSE policies
EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
Strong / effective communication skills
Solid understanding of test equipment
Use of calipers, micrometers, et
Ability to read and interpret drawings and dimensional call outs with tolerances
Minimum of 2-5 years of inspection and/or production experience
Strong working knowledge of various mathematical concepts, geometry including fractions, ratios, and proportions
Ability to successfully pass required drug and alcohol screening and background checks
Ability to meet physical demands of the job including lifting 50 lbs. or more unassisted
Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Excellent organizational skills
Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret information
