Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled QC Systems Specialist to join our team. This role is critical in ensuring the optimal performance, maintenance, and lifecycle management of all analytical laboratory instruments. The successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing equipment, supporting instrument qualifications, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to uphold quality standards in compliance with regulatory requirements.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshooting & Repairs: Diagnose, repair, and maintain all analytical laboratory instruments, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal functionality.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance and calibration of instruments to ensure accuracy and reliability in testing.
  • Instrument Lifecycle Management: Oversee the full lifecycle of laboratory instruments, including procurement, installation, qualification, maintenance, and decommissioning.
  • Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all instruments comply with regulatory standards (e.g., GMP, FDA, ISO) and maintain accurate documentation for audits and inspections.
  • Collaboration & Training: Work closely with scientists, engineers, and quality teams to provide technical expertise and training on instrument operation and maintenance.
  • Vendor Coordination: Liaise with instrument vendors for technical support, repairs, upgrades, and validation activities.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, reliability, and performance of laboratory systems through new technologies and process improvements.


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Chemistry, Engineering, Biochemistry, Instrumentation) or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Good experience in analytical instrument troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance within a laboratory environment.
  • Strong knowledge of analytical techniques (e.g., HPLC, GC, MS, spectroscopy) and laboratory compliance standards.
  • Experience with qualification and validation of laboratory instruments (IQ/OQ/PQ).
  • Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and repair documentation.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in laboratory instrument maintenance or related technical training.
  • Experience working in a regulated environment (pharmaceutical, biotechnology, chemical industry).
