As a Quality Control Coordinator working in the Major Projects team at Pomerleau Construction, you will play a pivotal role in guaranteeing the integrity, safety and precision of our job sites. Working on large-scale building and infrastructure projects – ranging from $1.5 million to upwards of $1 billion – you will have the opportunity to meticulously assess every aspect of our projects, from workmanship to materials, contributing to the successful delivery of exceptional results that exceed project expectations.
What You Will Do
- Assist the project team in preparing the quality plan and ensure its application.
- Ensure QRT (Technical Questions and Answers) correspondences are followed up by the project team and provide the necessary support for follow-ups.
- Ensure that QRTs are documented on construction drawings and provide the necessary support for follow-ups.
- Manage and/or verify the conformity of shop drawings and other technical documents submitted in collaboration with the project team.
- Verify the execution procedures required for the project issued by engineering, and follow up on methods proposed by subcontracting partners, in collaboration with engineering.
- Oversee the recording of deficiencies and follow up on corrections.
- Support the project team at milestone or project closure.
This role could be for you if you have
- Possess a recognized university degree of a technical nature, combined with relevant experience.
- Minimum of 5 years experience.
- Mastery of ACONEX, SharePoint and Project Wise software, as well as the Microsoft Office suite.
- Good organizational skills, identifying priorities and meeting deadlines.
- Ability to communicate in a way that is clearly understood, using quality oral and written language.
- Ability to establish and maintain harmonious interpersonal relations.
- Demonstrate leadership skills.
- Fluency in oral and written French.
- Fluency in English is an asset.
- Good synthesis and analytical skills.
- Ability to work rigorously.
- Ability to use initiative, judgment and act proactively.
