Job Summary
Ascot is seeking a Quality & Control Analyst to join the Reporting, Quality & Control Team. The Analyst will be responsible for efficiently and thoroughly reviewing Underwriting policy documents across multiple Commercial lines of business to ensure completeness and compliance with company policies and industry standards, working with the Operations and Underwriting teams to clearly communicate missing documentation or required changes to policies based on findings. The Analyst will help establish a quality review process for new employees to ensure adequate training has been provided. The Analyst will also assist in the quality review of Surplus Lines licenses to aid our Compliance team with their filings. The successful candidate will have an in-depth understanding of the insurance industry and be a creative problem-solver with skill for navigating systems and an eye for detail.
Responsibilities And Duties
- Quality Assurance and Reporting: Perform monthly quality reviews across multiple lines of business. Report findings in a thorough and timely manner to the appropriate groups within the Operations and Underwriting teams.
- Data Analysis and Risk Management: Report on trends, discrepancies, and areas needing improvement, while collaborating with Operations and Underwriting Governance to develop strategies to mitigate risks and to enhance process efficiency and effectiveness.
- Process Improvement: Help create, execute, and monitor a quality review process for all new Operations employees by performing quality reviews on work performed at varying cadences.
- Training & Development: Assist in the development and delivery of training programs to educate staff on quality standards and best practices.
- Compliance: Complete monthly audits on Surplus Lines licenses, and assist the Compliance team with their filings.
- Ensure all admitted producers are appointed according to state rules and regulations.
- Provide support for other areas within the Operations department, as well as Ascot as a whole.
- Ensure all work is processed accurately and according to Service Level Agreements.
- Provide ad hoc reports and other data-related requirements as requested.
- Some US travel may be needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2-4 years’ experience in the insurance industry.
- Knowledge of policy administration and Underwriting guidelines is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent work experience.
- Demonstrates effective verbal, written, and listening communication skills.
- Provides service excellence to internal and external partners, delivering an experience that exceeds the customer’s expectations.
- Takes ownership and responsibility for performance and results.
- Able to collaborate in situations when actions are interdependent, and a team is mutually responsible for producing desired results.
- Analytical and detail-oriented with strong time management, organizational and communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Suite applications, i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint
***This position is a hybrid role, and may be filled at a different level, depending on experience***
Compensation
Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to experience, subject matter expertise, and skills. The base pay is just one component of Ascot’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include an annual cash bonus, long-term incentives, and other forms of discretionary compensation awarded by the Company.
The salary range for this position is $55,000-$65,000
