This role is to safeguard the ways of working and quality compliance process through product development to production and installation. It is a key element to cooperation between the client, suppliers and project teams. To do this he/she must be a highly organized individual, excellent communicator, planner, presenter, negotiator and team player working closely with our client, supplier factories, account team, strategic sourcing managers etc.
Key Functions
Working as a member of a cross functional team to make sure proper quality compliance steps are done, such as risk assessment, chemical check, new material registration, bill of material verification, product testing, inspection etc.
Alert potential non-conformances and follow up the actions
Key Responsibilities
Early involve in product development to help evaluate product structure, material, stability etc.
Correctly categorize the risk level of each product, and follow the process to monitor compliance for low, medium and high risk products
Conduct risk assessments based on product structure, material, retail environment, target users’ behaviour etc., and make hazard evaluations in some circumstances
Make sure due diligence is done for each project at different stages, and all related documentation is ready in time
Make sure suppliers use approved materials only. If new materials are involved, need to prepare related files and follow new material registration process with client within a requested timeframe
Work with factories and account team to create and finalize bill of materials
Create test plan, and to follow testing with internal inspectors and/or 3 rd party lab
Follow KPI on key compliance activities and review with client and internal team
Support on factory audits focus on quality system, traceability, social compliance, and confidentiality, and follow up non-conformances with factories in a timely manner
Support local FSC implementation
Familiar with client’s product compliance requirements, and convert them into our procedure and processes
Claim handling
Any other task assignment if needed
Knowledge, Skills + Experience
Experience in POSM and print. Familiar with materials like paper, wood, metal, film etc.
Have common sense on children’s unexpected behaviour in retail environments
Understand electric product approval process and knowledge of related compliance requirements
Familiar with local legal requirements on product compliance
High communication skills with clients, suppliers and colleagues
Over 5 years’ experience of quality compliance or quality assurance process
An understanding of process flow and manufacturing& strong technical awareness
Work with the utmost integrity, and showcase HH Global culture, value and code of conduct in working with factories
Have good English and Chinese communication level and strong MS office skills
Can travel frequently to different factories
A holder of college degree or above; major in printing, furniture, or mechanics is a plus
Good command on written and oral English
Advanced level of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
