Your impact

The Quality Assurance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and ensuring compliance with food safety (DURING THE NIGHT SHIFT), quality, and regulatory standards in our premium ready-to-eat, food manufacturing environment. This role will lead Quality Assurance activities, supervise QA/QC personnel, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive food safety, quality standards and other continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage the daily operations of the Quality Assurance (QA) team, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards, regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of HACCP and food safety plans.
  • Conduct internal audits, inspections, and corrective action follow-ups to ensure compliance with all quality and safety protocols.
  • Investigate and resolve non-conformances, customer complaints, and deviations, implementing corrective and preventive actions as necessary.
  • Collaborate with production and operations teams to drive continuous improvement in quality and food safety.
  • Assist in regulatory, third-party, and customer audits, ensuring proper documentation and compliance.
  • Lead and support QA team in root cause analysis and problem-solving activities related to product quality and safety.
  • Maintain accurate and organised records of inspections, test results, and quality documentation.
  • Support training programs for employees on quality standards, food safety policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, new regulations, and best practices to enhance the QA program.


About you

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Quality Assurance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in quality assurance within a ready-to-eat food manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, including HACCP, GMPs, FSMA, and third-party audit standards (SQF, BRC, etc.).
  • Experience leading a team in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
  • Proficiency in quality management systems, statistical process control, and root cause analysis is beneficial.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends or shifts as needed.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality management software.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • HACCP level 3
  • Food Hygiene Level 3
  • Internal Auditor certification or similar
  • Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to work in a food manufacturing environment, including exposure to varying temperatures and conditions.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
  • Occasional lifting of materials up to 50 lbs.
