Job Title: Quality Assurance Manager Location: Hines, IL 60141 Employment Type: Full-Time Job Summary:The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality, performance, and compliance with contractual requirements in all maintenance and repair services provided by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Hines Information Technology Center (HITC). This role plays a critical part in maintaining the reliability and safety of HITC's mission-critical facilities, including data centers. Key Responsibilities: Quality Assurance Program Development:Develop, implement, and manage a comprehensive Quality Assurance (QA) program that encompasses all aspects of maintenance, repair, and emergency services outlined in the PWS. Contract Compliance:Ensure that all maintenance and repair services provided by contractors and subcontractors comply with contractual requirements, federal regulations, and industry standards. Inspection and Evaluation:Conduct regular inspections and evaluations of maintenance and repair activities to verify compliance with performance standards and specifications. Develop inspection checklists and quality metrics to assess performance. Documentation and Reporting:Maintain detailed records of all inspections, evaluations, and quality assessments. Prepare regular reports on QA findings and communicate them to the relevant stakeholders, including the VA HITC COR and Program Manager. Continuous Improvement:Identify areas for improvement in maintenance and repair processes and work collaboratively with contractors to implement corrective actions and best practices. Auditing and Compliance Checks:Perform audits and compliance checks to ensure that contractors and subcontractors adhere to safety protocols, federal regulations, and local building codes. Training and Education:Provide training and education to contractors and subcontractors on quality standards, contractual requirements, and safety protocols. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in quality management, engineering, or a related field preferred; relevant experience may be substituted for formal education. Proven experience in quality assurance, quality control, or a related field, particularly in a facilities management or data center environment. Knowledge of federal regulations, industry standards, and quality management systems. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with contractors, subcontractors, and government personnel. Familiarity with ISO 9001 or similar quality management standards is a plus.
