Job Description


QA Manager will provide guidance for all food safety, quality assurance, and related regulatory compliance of all the partners. The role will have an operational focus across the kitchens and also be in charge of food safety standards across the supply chain. Skills such as auditing, process evaluation, hazard assessment, risk management strategies, and root cause analysis, will be utilized to achieve business objectives and facilitate continuous improvement. Understanding, defining and communicating through the development of standards and models the best practices for the management of food safety, sanitation and consistency in quality.


Specific responsibilities will include: 


  • Responsible for all Quality Audits across depts and brand cafes. This includes Food Safety & Hygiene, Coffee Production and Customer Service
  • Analyze product quality metrics, audit data, client feedback, regulator and investigators input.
  • Creates structure and organization of all QA records of required suppliers, audits, product safety reviews, operating procedures, product info, compliance documents, certificates and/or crucial supporting data in both paper and electronic formats.
  • Share Audit findings and propose solutions to respective cross-functional teams as the Product Safety, Regulatory and Quality System expert in the development of new initiatives or operating practices, to ensure the company meets Quality, Product Safety, and Regulatory criteria.
  • Helps chefs to standardize all recipes and works with suppliers/base kitchens to standardize food ingredients.
  • Develop food suppliers and products.
  • Collaborate with project teams to develop and implement new QA programs or process improvements required to support business initiatives. Collaborates and influences cross-functionally to create the alignment of QA programs throughout the company
  • Leads quality or regulatory incident resolution activities for the products and operating practices. Determines and recommends appropriate mitigation activities to the QA/Leadership team.
  • Manages the development, implements and tracks the effectiveness of QA programs such as criteria, processes, tools and steps to guarantee that quality, product safety and regulatory needs are fulfilled for ingredients, products, operations and supplies.
  • Represents QA on internal teams to respond to complicated customer, media, and other outside organization inquiries about goods, working practices, asserts, nourishment or tagging information.
  • Stays up to date and builds experience in product regulations, product security best practices, public health regulations and industry best practices.
  • Leverages knowledge to train more junior professionals in regulatory standards, QA procedures and their part in the business.
  • Help running the kitchen with Ops team as per FSSAI rules and norms
  • Work closely with marketing department for launch of any FMCG product as the labels and nutritional contents are validated by undersigned
  • Be overall responsible for the integration and implementation of the sustainability People & Planet Positive strategy, through clearly defined accountabilities and responsibilities in the business and supporting as a competent business partner, while securing local relevance
  • Be the voice of sustainability, and by understanding consumers in the market, work across the business where decisions are made to set the People & Planet Positive requirements on the total country organisation, empowering others to deliver
  •  Develop strategy to implement the quality agenda based on the ISO 22000:2018 guidelines to provide consistent product quality for our customers at the marketplace. 
  • Responsible for managing all internal and external certification audits.
  • Responsible for managing product quality and consumer complaints along with implementation of corrective actions to ensure achievement of consumer satisfaction score in our systems and products. 
  •  Act as local point of contact for all regulatory bodies and external stakeholders relevant to product quality, environment and health safety.
  •  Responsible for overall food safety management of FMCG and non-FMCG quality operations including food safety, health safety and sustainability and associated financials and yearly review with agreement of service 
  • Provide technical support and guidance in budget planning related to quality. 
  • Serve as a liaison between NPD and QA for finished product specifications and equally with SCM on ensuring robust raw material specifications.
  • Responsible for motivating, challenging and leading a team of Food Handlers and ensuring that they are engaged and delivering to the best of their combined ability


Requirements  

  • Previous experience from the restaurant chain industry and FMCG preferred, with a solid working knowledge of food safety and quality assurance, sanitation, food manufacturing, packaging, and distribution.
  • Previous food safety management systems training and implementation experience
  • HACCP/HARPC certification and experience in the implementation and maintenance of HACCP / Food Safety Plans
  • Must be capable of working in a fast-paced environment with minimal direct supervision and have strong demonstrated leadership, interpersonal, and self-initiative skills and possess a strong work ethic
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities and capabilities in leading multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills


Nice to Have(s)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology
  • FOSTAC/FSSC 22000 Lead Auditor certifications preferred
