Job Title: Quality Assurance Internal Audit Manager

Location: South Walpole, MA (Hybrid – 4 days onsite, 1 remote)

Salary Range: $134,080 - $192,700/year

Overview

This role supports continuous improvement across internal audit and other audit-related functions (e.g., underwriting, claims, engineering). It ensures alignment with the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) Professional Practices Framework and promotes best practices in audit methodology and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and maintain the Quality Assurance and Improvement Program (QAIP).
• Evaluate audit practices for efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance with IIA standards.
• Advise audit teams on best practices and methodology.
• Deliver training on audit techniques and consulting standards.
• Participate in Audit Committee and internal governance meetings as needed.
• Support ad hoc projects assigned by the Chief Auditor.

Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree required (Finance/Accounting preferred).
• Professional certifications (e.g., CIA, CPA) highly preferred.

Experience:

• Minimum 8 years of relevant audit experience.
• Strong understanding of the IIA framework and QAIP processes.

Technical Skills:

• Deep knowledge of internal audit standards and risk management.
• Proficiency in audit planning, execution, and reporting.
• Experience managing change and complex projects.

Soft Skills:

• Strong communicator and trusted advisor.
• Detail-oriented, action-driven, and collaborative.
• Client-focused with the ability to balance stakeholder needs.
