QA Engineer - Remote, US

Responsibilities

Identify, document, and analyze issues; determine root causes and verify resolutions meet customer expectations.

Execute functional, negative, stress, and regression testing.

Enhance and maintain automation frameworks by adding features and resolving stability issues to increase test effectiveness.

Develop automated test scripts integrated with CI/CD pipelines to reduce regression testing cycle time.

Assist in executing test plans and scripts to ensure software meets defined quality standards.

Conduct testing across multiple platforms, delivering consistent and reliable test results.

Qualifications

Associate degree in Computer Science, Network and Digital Technology, or related field-or equivalent experience.

2+ years of experience in a QA/testing role within a technology-driven environment.

Proficiency with Linux-based systems.

Strong SQL skills for database validation and query testing.

Familiarity with video broadcasting and ABR streaming protocols (e.g., MPEG Transport Streams, DASH, HLS).

Experience with defect tracking tools such as Jira.

Solid understanding of various testing methodologies: unit, system, black-box, integration, load/stress, regression, usability, and end-to-end testing.

Preferred Additional Skills

Experience with virtualization and container technologies (e.g., Docker, VM hypervisors).

Proficiency with REST APIs via scripting or tools like Postman.

Programming or scripting experience (e.g., Python, Shell, Javascript).
