Overview

An established international software and technology team is seeking a talented Quality Engineer to contribute to the development and assurance of core business applications within the insurance domain. This position involves designing and executing comprehensive front-end and back-end test strategies to support system reliability and performance across complex platforms.


Role Summary

The Quality Engineer will be responsible for creating, executing, and maintaining test suites across a variety of application layers. The successful candidate will play a key role in validating functional and non-functional requirements, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, and ensuring quality standards are upheld throughout the development lifecycle.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute manual and automated test cases for web and backend applications.
  • Collaborate with team members to refine and update test cases to reflect evolving system behavior.
  • Report defects with detailed, reproducible steps and track them through resolution.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies to clarify requirements and enhance story understanding.
  • Execute various types of testing including configuration, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.
  • Apply QA tools and methodologies to support Web UI, API, and visual regression testing.
  • Gain expertise in proprietary systems to ensure effective functional validation.


Candidate Profile

  • 3+ years of experience in software testing or related enterprise software environments.
  • Proficient in QA processes, SDLC/STLC, and Agile methodologies.
  • Ability to design and document detailed test cases and defects using test management software.
  • Experience testing both client-side and server-side components of web applications.
  • Familiarity with browser dev tools for debugging and inspection.
  • Background in insurance, finance, or similar regulated environments is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with development and business teams.
  • Highly organized with the ability to adapt to shifting priorities in a fast-paced setting.
