• Own the quality assurance strategy and execution for your team, ensuring software products meet the highest standards.
• Translate product requirements into comprehensive test plans, covering different types of testing such as functional, regression, smoke, performance, and security testing.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for highly scalable, reliable, secure, and fault-tolerant systems.
• Lead and perform manual testing efforts, including exploratory testing, usability testing, and defect tracking, ensuring comprehensive test coverage.
• Mentor and guide team members, review test cases and advocate for continuous improvements to ensure high testing standards.
• Continuously research new testing tools, frameworks, and methodologies to enhance the QA process and product offerings.
• Exercise high ownership and initiative in all projects, ensuring end-to-end quality assurance coverage.
• Analyse different testing strategies for a problem statement, evaluate them with pros and cons and propose optimal solutions based on thorough research.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to ensure alignment on quality objectives and share best practices.
  
  

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years in quality assurance, with practical experience in manual and automated testing of large-scale applications for consumer or enterprise products.
• Automation Skills: Proficient in automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, JUnit, TestNG, and CI/CD integration.
• Manual Testing: Strong expertise in manual testing, including writing and executing test cases, defect tracking, and root cause analysis.
• Testing Types: Proficient in various testing methodologies including:
• Regression Testing: Ensuring that new code changes do not adversely affect existing functionalities.
• Smoke Testing: Verifying that basic functionalities of the application work as expected after a new build.
• Functional Testing: Validating that the software operates in conformance with the requirements.
• Performance Testing: Assessing the speed, responsiveness, and stability of the software under a particular workload.
• Security Testing: Identifying vulnerabilities and ensuring the application is secure against potential threats.
• Software Concepts: Excellent understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC), software testing life cycle (STLC), and defect management.
• Design and Architecture:
• Test Design: Strong grasp of designing comprehensive test strategies, including performance, security, and regression testing.
• Automation Frameworks: Exceptional ability to develop and maintain robust automation frameworks, ensuring scalable and maintainable test solutions.
• Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, with a proven track record of effectively engaging with both internal and external stakeholders.
