Python Automation Test Engineer

Location: DTC Office (Hybrid Work Model)

About the Role:

We are seeking a talented Software Engineer with excellent Python programming skills to automate test cases using the Robot Framework. You will work in a small team to measure the functional and non-functional behaviors of our Platform solution components, supporting our Continuous Delivery goals. A strong programming background and understanding of core design concepts (modularization, loose coupling, abstraction) are essential.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and code automation test cases based on functional specifications.
• Execute automated test scripts and maintain test plans/strategies.
• Collaborate with Design, Architecture, Development, and Operations teams.
• Implement/support automated robot testing frameworks.
• Define/track quality assurance metrics (defects, test results, status).
• Script advanced Python/Robot Framework test scenarios (LED, IP, WiFi, services).
• Experience in Test automation of Telecom Equipment (Home Gateway, Set Top Box, Cable Modem, Enterprise Wi-Fi AP)
• Strong understanding of REST APIs and Linux command-line interface.
• Experience with UI automation testing using Robot Framework.
• Experience with GitLab, CI/CD, or other DevOps tools.

Required Qualifications:

• Experience with Robot Framework and Python scripting.
• Strong understanding of SDLC and JIRA.
• Knowledge of CI/CD practices.
• Basic networking knowledge (IPv4, IPv6, DNS, DHCP, port forwarding).
• Creative problem-solving skills for test plan development.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Raspberry Pi, Swagger API, and TestRail is a plus.
