What Your Day-to-Day Might Look Like
- Write clear and concise test cases and test plans.
- Design, develop, and maintain automation framework and automated test scripts using Cypress and Postman.
- Develop modular, scalable, and reusable test components that support various types of automated testing (UI, API, integration).
- Implement custom Cypress plugins, commands, and utilities to extend framework capabilities.
- Execute and monitor automated test suites as part of CI/CD pipelines.
- Conduct regression testing and identify bugs, documenting and reporting them clearly.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand features and technical implementation.
- Create and maintain Postman collections and scripting for comprehensive API testing.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to QA process improvements.
- Troubleshoot test failures, identify root causes, and contribute to continuous improvement of automation coverage.
- Reporting defects, review of logged defects and tracking defects
- Perform BVT after each deployment in higher environment using automation test script
- Help establish and enforce quality standards and best practices.
What You'll Need to Succeed
- 4+ years of hands-on QA automation experience in fast-paced software environments
- Deep expertise in Cypress for modern UI test automation
- Strong Postman/API automation experience with a solid understanding of REST, JSON, and HTTP status codes
- JavaScript proficiency, especially with writing test assertions and reusable logic
- Familiarity with Git and collaborative workflows
- Analytical mindset and meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive, team-oriented attitude
Nice to have:
- Experience with performance/load testing tools like JMeter or OctoPerf
- Familiarity with security testing (e.g., OWASP ZAP)
- Exposure to CI/CD tools like CircleCI, GitHub Actions
- Worked with Docker/Kubernetes or other containerized environments
- Used tools like JIRA, Zephyr, or AI-enhanced coding assistants (e.g. Cursor)
- Knowledge of other automation tools like Selenium, Playwright, or mobile frameworks
