Job Summary

In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide essential therapeutic services, including counseling and psychotherapy, while working under the supervision of licensed professionals. As a Qualified Behavioral Health Provider, you will assess, diagnose, and treat clients based on their unique needs. Your responsibilities will include conducting thorough assessments, formulating treatment plans, and utilizing effective therapeutic techniques to support clients in developing coping strategies and improving their relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individual, group, family, and/or other practical counseling in various settings under the supervision of a licensed therapist or psychologist to meet client/patient needs and treatment goals.
  • Complete intake/screening and/or comprehensive assessment processes within designated time frames as per state regulatory/accreditation/agency standards.
  • Determine and document diagnoses based on comprehensive assessments.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans in accordance with state regulatory/accreditation/agency standards.
  • Participate in clinical staffing/treatment meetings, providing feedback on pertinent cases.
  • Ensure compliance with department-specific Collaborative Service Goal (CSG) requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure authorized services are approved and adequate information is provided within specified time frames.
  • Document all services provided in accordance with state regulatory/accreditation/agency standards.
  • Assist clients/patients through the transition process and complete final correspondence such as transition summaries and plans.
  • Represent the agency within the community in a professional manner.
  • Handle crisis situations as they arise and participate in or coordinate emergency services.
  • Facilitate group counseling, group education, family therapy, and individual sessions, including specialty services such as trauma and co-occurring therapy.

Education, Experience, And/or Credential Qualifications

  • Must possess at least a Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field.
  • Holds provisional licensure with the applicable board of professional registration for the state of practice as a professional counselor or social worker (e.g., PLPC, LMSW, PLMFT).
  • Must be able to obtain full licensure with the applicable board of professional registration for the state of practice, including completing required clinical supervision hours and passing a licensing exam.
  • Must be willing to become licensed in additional states beyond the current state of licensure.
  • Must be comfortable providing telehealth services to individuals served (training will be provided).

Additional Qualifications

  • Successful completion of background checks, including criminal record, driving record, abuse/neglect, and fingerprint checks.
  • Current driver's license, acceptable driving record, and current auto insurance.
  • Completion of mandatory training, including Behavioral Management training within thirty (30) days of employment.
  • Knowledge of the policies, procedures, and regulations of the program to which the associate is assigned.

Physical Requirements

  • ADA Consideration - Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, or pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
  • Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods.
