MAU is hiring a Control Systems & Qualification Project Engineer for our client in Indianapolis, IN. This is a contract position, 18 months, with potential to join direct hire.
Salary: $40-45 hourly
Essential Functions:
Activities include:
- Creating Qualification standards in alignment with Global Supply Chain and Engineering
- Managing dates and scope for equipment purchases, installation, and qualification
- Attending/Facilitating Kaizens and Roadmaps to support the capacity ramp
- This position requires strong leadership, teamwork, and communication skills as well as a passion for quality and continuous improvement.
- Lead qualifications from inception to closure, parts and special processes (coatings, brazing, etc.)
- Apply knowledge of design and manufacturing to implement new ideas that enhance overall qualification process, reduce cost and add value.
- Identify and implement qualification cost out opportunities
- Regional, and in some cases, global: shop support
- Cultivate positive working environment and morale; drive a sense of urgency and quality with speed
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering, preferred
Desired Characteristics:
- 2-3 years of engineering and/or manufacturing experience, preferred.
- Program management experience
- Strong team player
- Well versed in lean manufacturing methods
- Experience interfacing across matrix organizations
- Good negotiation skills
- Ability to build trust with team members and interfacing organizations.
- Experience and familiarity with advanced manufacturing processes
- Customer satisfaction mindset with strong Quality orientation
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment with individuals in global locations
