The QNX Vertical Platforms are complete, integrated and tested automotive software stacks including low-level embedded OS and drivers, middleware, and application frameworks. The QNX Vertical Platforms are built using QNX Safety certified real-time embedded OS and Safety certified Hypervisor allowing multiple application environments on an integrated high-end chipset. Technologies include multimedia, navigation, voice recognition, graphics, browser, Bluetooth, audio, and smart phone connectivity. The QNX Test Team is looking for a Software Tester to support system level integration, create and execute tests supporting internal development and customer activities with focus on the following:

• Hands-on System Software testing, Automation, Integration testing and unit/coverage testing on below combinations of Embedded software:.
• QNX real-time OS.
• QNX Hypervisor.
• BSPs (x86 & ARM architecture).
• Middleware components for multimedia, graphics, audio etc..
• QNX Cloud Solutions.
• Create or update test plans, test cases based on product requirements or customer requirements or identified problems.
• Develop and optimize automation test cases with continuous improvements in Test coverage and efficiency..
• Run a series of tests against new software loads on reference or customer hardware.
• Debug, analyze test results, generate and update defect reports, verify resolved issues..
• Recreation of observed issues through a variety of techniques for root cause analysis.
• Produce test reports based on test results with high attention to details.
• Collaboration with other test and development teams.
• May maintain Automation suite and Automation related hardware.
• Mentor Juniors to scale up on the projects or when blocked.
• Ensure QMS process is 100% adhered, Follow and ensure compliance to workplace operating and environmental, health and safety procedures and guidelines.
  
  

You will have:

• Senior level experience in Embedded software testing.
• Strong Experience on C Programming, Python & shell scripting.
• Thorough knowledge on UNIX Internals.
• Strong experience in IPC Programming on any RTOS / Linux.
• Good knowledge with common processor architectures (i.e. x86/ARM).
• Working knowledge of QNX / Linux operating systems.
• Thorough knowledge with source versioning, problem reporting and Continuous Integration build systems (SVN, Git, JIRA & Jenkins).
• Ability to work and participate in a team setting with an open collaborative style.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills are necessary.
• Enthusiasm, a passion for quality and a desire to learn about new technologies is a requirement!.
