Want to be part of this? We currently have an exciting opportunity for a QA Engineer II to join our Tailored Technology team. This individual will be responsible for establishing and maintaining QA practices, writing test scenarios and executing tests, both manually and with automated tools. The QA Engineer will work with a small, collaborative team of seasoned QA engineers and business partners in the Omni channel team.
What You’ll Do
- Participate in the design and implementation process of new and existing products
- Lead Omni channel projects from QA standpoint and provide technical leadership to other QA engineers
- Define and implement black-box, white box and automated testing suites for core Data technologies & products.
- Design, develop, and maintain test scripts to validate ETL processes, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across multiple environments.
- Automate validation processes for data pipelines, including monitoring data quality, schema changes, and ETL job performance.
- Advise project teams on appropriate approaches to testing delivered products, including test tool sets.
- Collaborate with data team and business stakeholders to understand data requirements.
- Ensure data quality, consistency, integrity, and governance across all datasets.
- Provide guidance to development and project teams on the creation of a master test plan and other testing related deliverables
- Assist project teams on identifying the needs for appropriate test environments and coordinate the establishment of appropriate test environments
- Oversee processes for identifying, tracking and reporting the results of test procedures
- Assist in populating and maintaining regression (Manual/Automation) test suites
- Perform regression testing using existing scripts
- Find, track and prioritize bugs and work toward their resolution
- Define and track quality assurance automation metrics such as automation defect densities, defects age and automation coverage
- Participate in the testing of production emergency bug fixes
- Perform rotating on-call support duties and periodically participate in after-hours release testing
- Participate in release production validation
What You’ll Bring
- 5+ years of testing experience in Retail or E-commerce Data Engineering technologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or relevant bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience in designing, developing, and maintaining test scripts aligned with business requirements.
- Experience in ensuring E2E data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across multiple environments.
- Experience in validating data quality and integrity within cloud data warehouses such as Big Query, Snowflake, or Redshift.
- Understanding of marketing automation platforms, tagging frameworks, and web analytics tools.
- Experience in comprehensive testing of data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) to validate business rules and data quality.
- Experience in web-based reporting/visualization tools (such as Tableau, PowerBI) or Similar tools.
- Extensive experience with SDLC and testing methodologies, including Functional testing, E2E integration testing, System testing, Compatibility testing, Regression Testing & Defect Cycle.
- Experience in Automation testing tools such as UiPath, Selenium, Cypress, or equivalent.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Java, or Shell scripting to automate testing tasks.
- Experience in CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI etc.
- Strong experience in SQL skills for performing complex queries to validate data accuracy and ensure the integrity of large datasets.
- Have hands on experience in test management tools like JIRA, QC tools, etc.
- Ability to work in an onsite-offshore model.
- Good Experience in interactions with business team to understand the user stories / business cases.

Work Environment, Physical & Mental Demands

- Hours regularly 40 hours per week, as work dictates, in a hybrid work environment from our Houston, TX or Dublin, CA offices.
The starting salary for this position is $80,704 – 92,809 and may increase to $134,600 depending on merit, length of service with the Company, and other factors. We take into consideration an individual’s skills, background, and experience in determining final salary. Base pay information is based on market location and may be subject to prevailing wage laws, if applicable.
