Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Backend Engineer to join our engineering team. This person will play a pivotal role in supporting our backend architecture and APIs, ensuring our platform remains reliable, scalable, and efficient. Key Responsibilities:

• Code Quality: Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices and coding standards. Conduct code reviews to maintain code quality across the team.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and other engineers to define project requirements and deliver solutions that meet business objectives.
• Troubleshooting: Identify, diagnose, and resolve software defects and performance issues in a timely manner.
• Deployment and Maintenance: Oversee the deployment process and ensure the reliability and scalability of applications in production environments.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science and related field.
• Experience:
• Minimum of 1 year of professional experience in Python development.
• Proven track record of building and deploying large-scale applications.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficient in Python and familiar with frameworks such as Django, Flask, FastAPI
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and software design patterns.
• Proficient in RESTful API design and development.
• Familiarity with database systems such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Contributions to open-source projects or a strong personal coding portfolio.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Being bilingual in English and Mandarin is a plus.
