Summary:
The Full Stack Engineer is responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of punchbowl.news technology solutions. This position will work on both the front-end and back-end of our applications, and will be responsible for ensuring that our applications are scalable, reliable, and user-friendly. The engineer in this role will also have the opportunity to define and drive the technology choices and strategies as the product continues to evolve. A strong candidate will be one who has a love for understanding problems, and learning the new tools and technologies to solve those problems. The punchbowl.news engineering team is in its early forming stages. We try to deliver our product goals by working at a sustainable pace. The team is high communication, collaborative, and agile in nature. We like to use data to not only find the right solutions to problems, but also as a way to continuously improve our ability as a delivery team.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain web solutions
Work on both the front-end and back-end of our applications
Ensure that our applications are scalable, reliable, and user-friendly
Write clean, well-tested, and maintainable code
Collaborate with other engineers and product team members to design and implement new features
Quickly learn and apply the right technologies to a variety of business problems
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience as a Full Stack, Javascript, or Python engineer
Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript
Strong knowledge of Python
Experience with the Django web framework
Experience with VueJs
Experience with relational databases, like postgreSQL
Experience with AWS cloud platform
