Lead Python Developer - £90,000 - London (Hybrid)


Are you an experienced Software Engineer passionate about building internal tools that drive business growth and enhance engineering efficiency? We’re looking for a Lead Python Developer to take ownership of developing, maintaining, and evolving a suite of internal solutions that optimize workflows, improve automation, and create revenue opportunities.


In this position, you’ll play a key role in designing and delivering software solutions that streamline operations and increase efficiency across multiple teams. You will collaborate closely with senior engineers and stakeholders to create high-quality, scalable tools while driving engineering best practices.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain internal tools that enhance business processes and drive operational efficiency.
  • Lead end-to-end feature development, from solution design and implementation to deployment, testing, and monitoring.
  • Ensure continuous improvements by updating and refining existing tools based on feedback, API changes, and evolving requirements.
  • Apply best practices in software engineering, ensuring solutions are scalable, cost-effective, and secure.
  • Support automation initiatives, helping teams transition to more efficient workflows.
  • Work closely with data engineers to implement and maintain cloud-based ETL pipelines.
  • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to align on requirements and ensure successful adoption of tools.


What you'll bring;

  • Strong proficiency in Python for developing scalable, maintainable software.
  • Experience with building applications in either GCP or AWS.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Docker).
  • Solid understanding of API development using frameworks such as Django, FastAPI, or Flask.
