A well-established and fast-growing company in the financial services and lending technology space is seeking a Software Engineer for a contract-to-hire role. The position is hybrid, based out of Irvine, California, and offers long-term growth potential in a collaborative, mission-driven environment.

The ideal candidate is a disciplined engineer with strong experience in Full Stack Development including Python, React, and SQL. You’ll work with a stable and experienced technology team building scalable applications to support a wide range of financial product offerings.

🔧 Key Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain scalable web applications using Python and the Flask framework
• Design and implement RESTful APIs for frontend/backend integration and third-party platforms
• Collaborate with technical and non-technical teams to translate business needs into technical solutions
• Utlizing React for frontend development
• Develop optimized SQL queries and maintain relational database performance
• Troubleshoot and enhance existing systems for reliability, performance, and security
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for new and existing systems

💡 What You Bring:

• Strong hands-on experience with Python and Flask
• Proficiency in React.
• Solid understanding of SQL and experience working with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, SQL Server)
• Familiarity with Git or other version control systems
• Ability to identify and resolve complex bugs and performance issues

• Exposure to modern frontend frameworks like Vue.js or React
