We're seeking a skilled Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain efficient data pipelines that integrate data from various public and private sources into our rapidly growing knowledge graph. This role requires a blend of technical expertise in Python, a keen understanding of API interactions, and the ability to make knowledge engineering and ETL decisions required to onboard it into our product.

What You Will Do:

• Develop and optimize data pipelines for ingesting data from various source APIs and bulk file utilities into our knowledge graph.
• Work closely with data providers to understand their APIs, datasets, and data structures.
• Design and implement data cleaning, transformation, and storage solutions to ensure data quality and accessibility.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and contribute to the development of our knowledge graph architecture.
• Monitor and troubleshoot pipeline performance issues, applying best practices for data management and pipeline reliability.

What You Will Bring to the Team:

• Proficiency in Python with a solid understanding of its ecosystem for data engineering tasks.
• Experience in developing and managing API integrations and handling bulk data ingestion.
• Strong foundation in database technologies, preferably Postgres, and experience with SQL.
• Knowledge of data cleaning, transformation, and storage principles.
• Ability to quickly learn and understand new datasets and APIs.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, especially when it comes to ensuring accurate data ingestion and presentation.
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and external data providers.

What Gives You an Edge:

• Experience with data modeling and knowledge engineering concepts and frameworks (e.g. RDF, EAV, etc.).
• Understanding of knowledge graphs and their applications in data processing.
• A desire to work in a fast paced, early startup environment.

Language Requirements:

• A minimum of intermediate proficiency in English is required at this time. Although the role is based in Argentina, it frequently requires collaboration with other engineering team members based in San Francisco, CA.
