Sodexo is seeking a Purchasing Manager, Biomedical Technology to support University Hospitals Health System located in Cleveland, OH. The ideal candidate should have experience in the procurement of parts and services of medical equipment and technology. The incumbent will be responsible for working with vendors to obtain options for service delivery along with, supporting compliance of Sodexo Healthcare Technology Management (HTM) approved suppliers. In addition, coordinate and manage parts inventory with the HTM Service Centers.
Sodexo offers a range of services to healthcare facilities, including food, nutrition, environmental, facilities management, healthcare technology management, retail, and patient experience services. Incentives
This is a hybrid position that will require 3 days on-site at the Management Services Center in Shaker Heights, OH
What You'll Do
* Negotiate and place orders using a purchase ordering system
* Order products and services based on established contracts
* May assist corporate procurement in defining contract terms, meeting with vendors, and managing the current supplier network
* Coordinate delivery times to achieve the lowest cost of services or materials from suppliers with consideration to quality, reliability, and urgency of need
* Source the right portfolio of products and services to create the best value
* Leverage our supply partners for innovation and growth
* Champion programs effectively, maximizing value while addressing operational issues

What You Bring
* Strong communication and customer service skills
* Knowledge of procedures, policies, vendors, and other specified products and services
* Experience in inventory management and placement of purchase orders
* Ability to manage a budget by controlling costs (e.g. labor, inventory, equipment, and materials), complying with budget requirements and making adjustments when necessary
* Excellent communication, customer service, and time management skills
* Understanding of biomedical equpment and supplies preferred
* Experience in a healthcare setting preferred
