Position Summary Andaz Miami Beach is looking for a Purchasing Coordinator to assist with handling of the hotel procurement operation such as submitting Purchase orders, receiving merchandises and processing requisitions. The Purchasing Coordinator must ensure that items are stored in a safe and stable fashion to allow for quick retrieval. The successful candidate will liaise with hotel departments for good ordering activities and assist with filing regular reports that details material flow, discrepancies between actual inventory and recorded inventory, along with any other concerns as well as aid the month end close report. This energetic individual must have previous procurement experience, exposure to inventory process. Position Responsibilities/ Essential Functions * Process purchase orders and requisitions for all departments throughout the hotel * Direct required goods to proper locations according to schedule. * Verify delivered of goods are accurate. * Keep records of inventories, including status and location of materials. * Track delivery progress and notify affected departments of changes in delivery schedule. * Establish priority of deliveries based on department needs. * Assist with delivering goods to departments.· * Other projects and duties as required/assigned. Purchasing Coordinator Requirements and Qualifications * Possess a minimum of one (1) year relevant experience; * Possess intermediate level MS applications knowledge and proficiency; * Be deadline and detail oriented; * Be able to work well under pressure; * Be able to lift, push or pull about 40lbs; * Be honest and possess a high level of integrity; * Have a strong desire to learn and grow.
