Job Title: Public Sector Product Management Consultant

Job Location: SF/Seattle/Chicago/DC (Preference - Hybrid) or Remote

Job Summary

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of public sector operations, technology, and regulatory environments, combined with proven product management expertise. You will work closely with clients to define product roadmaps, gather requirements, prioritize features, and ensure successful product delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough analysis of client needs, market trends, and regulatory requirements within the public sector.
  • Develop and articulate product vision, strategy, and roadmaps aligned with client goals and objectives.
  • Gather, document, and prioritize product requirements from various stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, and government liaisons, to ensure successful product development and launch.
  • Facilitate workshops, meetings, and presentations to communicate product plans and gather feedback.
  • Monitor product performance, gather user feedback, and iterate on product features to drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant public sector regulations and standards.
  • Provide expert guidance and recommendations on product management best practices to client teams.
  • Manage product backlogs and prioritize tasks effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of government operations, procurement processes, and regulatory environments.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute product strategies and roadmaps.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing stakeholder expectations.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and product management tools.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Policy, Computer Science, or a related field. (Master's degree preferred)

Compensation:

  • $70- $80 per hour
