Summary

The luxury book publisher founded by Prosper and Martine Assouline has published over 1,500 titles across international markets on subjects including Architecture, Design, Fashion, Gastronomy, Lifestyle, Photography, and Travel.


Our PR and Events team is looking to add a PR intern to our growing team. As a PR intern, you will be an integral part in assisting our Global Communications team. This internship will give you the opportunity to work in cross-functional, collaborative teams and alongside our PR coordinate on book and brand promotion strategies for targeted international countries. This challenging yet rewarding internship will be a great kickstart to your career and will give you the fundamentals required to be a successful and strategic PR and Events Coordinator. This position would be ideal for a senior in college looking for public relations opportunities at a company that is rapidly expanding.


Key Learnings:


PRESS

  • Develop a good understanding of press material, press clipping, press stock management, press requests, and research in order too create press kits for books and brand
  • Monitor international press activity
  • Help fulfill international press requests
  • Track the shipment and dispatch of press copies
  • Assist with organizing and updating databases (press and guest list)
  • Assist in daily projects (research, organizing, and compiling reports)


EVENTS

  • Help coordinate event logistics (monitor guest lists, photographer, material)
  • Attend & help book launch events in New York


Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in related field (Communications, Marketing, or related field)
  • Previous public relations/marketing internship experience preferred
  • Interest in culture, art, and fashion
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent organizational skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Experience in utilizing InDesign, Excel, and Microsoft Office
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, particularly Word and Excel
