PTA Program Director and Clinical Coordinator -Full Time-Nebraska Methodist College


Nebraska Methodist College is looking for a PTA Program Director and Clinical Coordinator to provide strategic leadership and academic oversight for the Physical Therapist Assistant program, integrating academic and clinical education, maintaining CAPTE accreditation, and advancing excellence in therapy education through innovation, collaboration, and workforce-driven curriculum development.


Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Clearly formulates learning objectives and outcomes through detailed course planning and preparation for each class, lab, or clinical session
  • Conducts systematic assessment of student learning
  • Revises courses as needed to enhance effectiveness
  • Assists with data collection for annual reports and accreditation requirements
  • Engages in scholarly work that is innovative, well-articulated, and aligned with the Boyer Model of Scholarship, appropriate to faculty rank


Location:

  • Nebraska Methodist College- 720 N. 87th St. - Omaha, NE


Schedule:

  • Mon - Fri, normal business hours.


Job Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Physical Therapy required.
  • Professional development or education in:

-Educational theory and methodology

-Instructional design

-Student evaluation and outcome assessment


Experience:

  • A minimum of five years (or equivalent) of full-time post-licensure professional experience, including at least three years of full-time clinical experience required.
  • Experience in classroom, lab, or clinical teaching required.
  • Experience in administration, management, and leadership, including clinic-based roles required.
  • Demonstrated experience in student learning, teaching excellence, and curriculum development required.
  • Experience securing clinical sites, monitoring contracts, and creating clinical schedules for the PTA Program required.


License/Certifications:

  • Physical Therapist (PT) license required.
