We're making every move count

Kalmar is seeking a skilled Prototype Technician to join our development team. This hands-on role focuses on the construction, reworking, and maintenance of mobile equipment prototypes, supporting innovation in heavy equipment design and testing.

Main tasks and responsibilities

• Assemble prototype and low-volume products
• Inspect components and sub-assemblies for quality
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic issues
• Conduct product and durability testing
• Build test rigs for component trials
• Support process and product development
• Assist in engineering tests and proof-of-concept trials
• Maintain workshop standards and comply with H&S procedures.
  
  

What you’ll need to succeed

Education

• Technician-level or equivalent.
  
  

Experience

• 5+ years in assembly or prototype workshop
• Experience with heavy equipment.
  
  

Skills

• Mechanical assembly in quality-controlled environments
• Fault-finding, diagnostics, and testing
• Ability to follow procedures, read schematics, and create documentation.
