Description
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Property Manager to oversee the daily operations of a portfolio of properties in Newark, New Jersey. This long-term contract position offers the opportunity to ensure properties are well-maintained, tenants are satisfied, and financial goals are consistently met. The ideal candidate will be proactive, possess strong organizational skills, and demonstrate a commitment to excellence.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary point of contact for tenant relations, addressing inquiries and resolving concerns promptly and professionally.
- Manage lease administration tasks, including renewals, rent collections, and coordinating move-ins and move-outs.
- Oversee property maintenance by scheduling regular inspections, coordinating repairs, and ensuring upkeep standards are met.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for tenant information and property documentation.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal regulations governing property management.
- Collaborate with vendors and contractors to secure quality services and timely project completion.
- Monitor the financial performance of properties, preparing and presenting regular reports.
- Handle on-call responsibilities for emergencies, ensuring swift and effective resolution of urgent issues.
Requirements
- Proven experience in property management, with a focus on residential or real estate properties.
- Proficiency in property management software, such as Yardi, is highly preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective tenant and vendor interactions.
- Knowledge of property management regulations and compliance requirements.
- Ability to analyze financial data and prepare performance reports.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle emergencies calmly and efficiently.
