Description

We are looking for a dedicated Property Administrator to join our team in Oakland, California. In this long-term contract position, you will oversee the daily operations and leasing activities of a property, ensuring compliance with regulations and fostering a positive community environment. This role requires someone with strong organizational skills who can effectively manage staff, budgets, and tenant relations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the collection of rent, prepare rent rolls, and ensure timely bank deposits.
  • Manage tenant leasing processes, including income verification, lease preparation, and move-ins/move-outs.
  • Conduct property inspections, coordinate necessary repairs, and handle tenant recertifications.
  • Supervise on-site staff and collaborate with support service teams to maintain property standards.
  • Process security deposit refunds and manage eviction procedures in accordance with regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with low-income housing tax credit and other applicable guidelines.
  • Develop and monitor property budgets, preparing variance reports as needed.
  • Address tenant concerns and resolve issues to maintain a positive living environment.
  • Facilitate annual inspections and ensure that all units meet required standards.


Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in property management, with a focus on affordable housing or permanent supportive housing.
  • Familiarity with low-income housing tax credits and relevant regulatory guidelines.
  • Proficiency in accounting software systems, CRM platforms, and financial tools such as JD Edwards EnterpriseOne.
  • Strong skills in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and budget management.
  • Experience in staff supervision and resident problem-solving.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement budgets and prepare variance reports.
  • Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills to inspire and guide team members.
