Job Summary:
To sit within the Middle Management Team, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of Project Managers, Project Engineers and Contractors. You will oversee multiple projects within the organisation and ensure that they align with our business goals, stay within budget and meet deadlines. The Ideal candidate will be a self-starter with the ability to lead and manage people and projects.
Responsibilities:
Accountability- Overall accountability for the project programme, cost and quality and leading the project team to meet project objectives.
Business Development-Identifying potential business development with existing clients and taking an active or lead role in the proposals process
Strategic Planning – Setting project objectives and ensuring alignment with company strategies.
Performance Monitoring- Assist in implementing design performance management systems by tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and ensuring project milestones are met.
Leadership and Team Management–Guiding and motivating Project Managers and Project Engineers ensuring cross company collaboration ensuring teams are working efficiently and effectively. Working collaboratively with our external supply chain and driving contractor performance
Budget Oversight – Monitoring financials alongside the Finance Business Partner to keep projects within scope and budget.
Risk Management – Identifying potential issues and implementing solutions.
Problem solving and adaptability- Navigating unexpected challenges and adjusting strategies when required.
Health and Safety-Working closely with the Compliance team to establish a project health and safety culture and lead with a health and safety mindset.
