Project Manager | Store Development | Corporate
As the
Project Manager, Store Development, you will oversee the process of
programming,
design and
execution of
new and renovated retail stores and
shop in shops for the Giorgio Armani, Emporio Armani and A|X Armani Exchange brands in United States and Canada. You will
lead and
coordinate with our internal design team, consultants, contractors and business partners from the
feasibility study phase, schematic and
design development phases,
tender phases to the
final construction and
turn over.
Additionally, you will coordinate Italian design team and lighting designer, local consultants, tenant coordinators and other key players in the successful on time, on budget execution of all new stores and renovations. Your role will be a key driver to
developing timelines and
budgets in coordination with overall company strategic initiatives.
In this role, you will
learn, understand and
employ the
brand standards as they apply to retail stores.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordination of design phases between Milan design team, local internal teams and architect of record
- Responsible for procurement and coordination of owner supplied items.
- Coordinate with all internal departments in a timely manner to drive successfully project execution
- Work with legal department for the review of the design and construction related leases exhibits
- Lead the GC and millworkers tender phases.
- Responsible for the cost tracking of the project. Process invoices. Ensure the construction budgets are up to date.
- Responsible for the construction management, turnover and follow up of punch list
- Travel required – up to 30%
Qualifications & Skills
- BA in Architecture required.
- 3-5 years in luxury retail and construction experiences.
- competent skills in Excel, Autocad , Adobe, Microsoft including “Project”.
- Excellent communications skills and an interest/comfort in interacting with multiple partners within and outside the group and company are critical to the success of the candidate. This position must have very good skills and experiencing in negotiating contracts.
- Key Experience:
- In the design, procurement and installation of luxury retail installations.
- Working with and coordinating multiple participants in multiple disciplines toward executing stores.
The appointed candidate will be offered a salary within the range of USD $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 based on experience, plus the opportunity for a bonus, a comprehensive benefits package including: medical, dental, vision, short and long-term disability, various paid time off programs, employee discount/perks and retirement plans with employer contributions. Salaries will be negotiated based on relevant skills and experience.
