Our client, a telecommunications company located in Stamford, CT is in need of a Project Manager for a 6-month contract with high likelihood of extension. The Project Manager will work onsite daily, working with both technical and functional teams on a variety of mission critical and high visibility projects such as database reconfiguration projects, Privacy Legislation Compliance projects, and Broadband Consumer Label projects. Responsibilities will include implementing schedules and monitoring programs from inception through delivery, defining and reporting on program roadmap, status, development issues and success metrics to executive leadership, monitoring areas of risk, maintaining budgets and finding areas to reduce costs. This is a functional role that requires excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as the ability to multitask effectively.

Required Skills

• 5-10 years of Project or Program Management experience, including experience managing several projects simultaneously
• Proven track record of developing detailed and accurate documentation
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
• Skilled and experienced with MS Project, Visio
• Experience presenting project summaries and updates to C-level executives
  
  

Preferred Skills

• Experience working on compliance projects, preferably related to data privacy laws or other FCC regulations (highly preferred)
• PgMP, PMP, or similar certifications
• Telecom industry experience
