The Project Manager will be a key member of our increasingly agile project management team and will assist with projects for various teams. The Project Manager will work with clients and internal stakeholders across multiple business units to drive multiple concurrent projects from initiation to completion - with a primary focus on coordinating and planning the movement of products from Initiation (through Development, QA, Beta, and Pilot) to Launch.

Primary Job Responsibilities

Responsible for independently managing multiple, simultaneous projects working directly with and coordinating with Procede teams (Product, UI/UX, Development, QA, Deployment, Education, Sales, Marketing, etc.) with little to no supervision from management.

  • Manage all phases of the product release process for projects including responsibilities such as:
  • Gathering data and documentation
  • Coordinating/leading meetings
  • Sending recaps and tracking action items
  • Delegating and overseeing deliverables assigned to resources
  • Obtaining approvals and signoffs
  • Setting and adjusting expectations to ensure project and process continuity and timely delivery of projects
  • Identifying potential issues, risks, and conflicts and devise contingency plans to address, resolve and/or escalate in a timely fashion
  • Updating project details in project management tools
  • Self-manage time and tasks while proactively communicating updates to stakeholders
  • Collaborate with project management team to continually review and establish best practices using the latest tools and techniques
  • Keep informed and current on Procede product offerings, integrations, and related components
  • Responsible for ensuring that team members follow the framework of Scrum/Kanban. Makes sure everyone knows their roles and helps coach them through obstacles while guiding larger teams using this method effectively.
  • Coordinate and lead sprints/Kanban reviews, retrospective meetings, and daily stand-ups
  • Coach team members in Agile frameworks
  • Facilitate internal communication and effective collaboration
  • Work with product owners to handle backlogs and new requests
  • Resolve conflicts and remove obstacles that occur
  • Help teams implement changes effectively
  • Ensure deliverables are up to quality standards at the end of each sprint/Kanban reviews
  • Acts as an integral part of the Project Management including ownership of specific tasks or leading projects as assigned by management.
  • Oversee and delegate non-product related projects when assigned by management
  • Assist with guidance, escalation, and other expertise for all business units as needed
  • Support company’s continuous improvement initiatives by recommending process improvements, innovative technology and tools, and documentation updates (KBs, customer-facing guides, etc.)
  • Assist new team members by getting them up to speed to be successful in their jobs and roles
  • Work on other special projects, as needed

Desired Qualifications/Skills

  • 3-5 years of project management experience
  • 2+ years of scrum/Kanban master experience
  • 2+ years of experience in software or technical services industry in related role
  • Knowledge of project management principles, practices, and tools related to product/software development
  • Knowledge and experience with SCRUM/Kanban principles
  • Skilled at managing multiple deadlines, keeping projects on task, and tactfully communicating scheduling changes, disruptions, and resetting expectations
  • PMP certification a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, but relevant work experience may be substituted
  • TFS and Clarizen/Planview Adaptive Work experience a plus

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit at a desk, computer terminal or meeting table for a long period of time.
  • Ability to use hands and fingers or adoptive equipment to safely operate assigned equipment.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
  • Ability to use telephone frequently for a long period of time, and to hear and speak clearly by telephone.

Location and Compensation

This is a hybrid-remote role; candidates based in San Diego county are expected to work a minimum of one day per week in the office, those residing outside of San Diego county will be considered fully remote. The salary range for this role is $80,000 to $113,000 per year, depending on a combination of factors, including, but not limited to, education, relevant work experience, qualifications, skills, certifications, location, etc.
