We do this by aligning the voice of our small business members with advocacy for change in federal policy that will make the government market more accessible to small businesses and the commercial technology ecosystem.

The Channel's founding Technical Board Members include former government leaders and IT executives passionate about bringing best-of-breed technology to the government.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team!

Responsibilities:

The SME will play a critical role in shaping and executing the delivery model for Facilities Operation & Maintenance and IFSM services by contributing to project planning, vendor evaluations, proposal assessments, compliance reviews, and best practice implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert-level guidance and recommendations in all aspects of Facilities Operation & Maintenance and IFSM Services.
• Support the development, evaluation, and implementation of proposals for service providers, including pricing analysis and contract strategy.
• Assist in drafting statements of work (SOW), service level agreements (SLA), and performance metrics for facilities operations and integrated services.
• Ensure program compliance with industry standards, regulations, and customer expectations.
• Evaluate current operations and recommend improvements to drive efficiency, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Act as a liaison between internal stakeholders, facilities management teams, and external service providers.
• Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in IFSM and maintenance services.
• Support risk management, contingency planning, and quality assurance measures for facilities services.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 7-10 years of progressive experience in Facilities Operations, Maintenance Services, and IFSM programs.
• Demonstrated experience in developing and managing complex facilities-related contracts and vendor performance.
• Strong knowledge of building systems, sustainability initiatives, life cycle management, and integrated services models.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., IFMA CFM, FMP, PMP, LEED AP) are a plus.
