Ensuring that the development team adheres to agile principles and practices. Position is more administrative than technical.

Responsibilities

11. Facilitate Scrum Events:

• Schedule and facilitate the daily stand-up meetings.
• Organize and facilitate sprint planning sessions.
• Coordinate and moderate sprint review meetings.
• Facilitate sprint retrospective sessions to identify areas of improvement.

2. Support the Development Team:

• Help the team understand and implement Scrum practices.
• Foster a self-organizing and empowered team environment.
• Assist the team in breaking down work into manageable tasks.
• Guide the team in estimating and prioritizing user stories.

3. Ensure Scrum Principles and Processes:

• Promote adherence to the Scrum framework.
• Monitor and track progress against sprint goals and commitments.
• Help the team maintain a consistent and sustainable pace of work.
• Ensure the appropriate use of Scrum artifacts, such as the product backlog and sprint backlog.
• Remove obstacles or impediments that hinder the team's progress.

4. Collaborate with Product Owner/CTO

• Collaborate with the product owner to ensure a well-groomed and prioritized product backlog.
• Help the product owner/CTO in defining and refining user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Assist in organizing and facilitating product backlog refinement sessions.
• Promote effective communication and collaboration between the development team and product owner/CTO.

5. Support Continuous Improvement

• Identify and implement process improvements within the team.
• Encourage experimentation and innovation to enhance team performance.
• Foster a culture of learning and knowledge sharing within the team.
• Monitor and measure team performance metrics, such as velocity and burndown charts.
• Regularly review and reflect on the team's performance and adapt practices accordingly.

6. Act as a Servant Leader

• Serve as a mentor and advocate for the team.
• Shield the team from external distractions and unnecessary interruptions.
• Encourage self-organization and decision-making within the team.
• Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.
• Continuously seek feedback from the team and stakeholders to improve your own performance.

Qualifications / Skills required 

• Strong communication skills in Greek and English (fluency required).
• At least one year of experience as a Scrum Master or in a similar Agile role.
• Hands-on experience with project management tools, preferably with GitHub, or similar platforms.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban etc.).
• Ability to identify bottlenecks and drive continuous improvement.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams.
• Excellent problem-solving, conflict resolution, and facilitation skills.
• Scrum Master certification is a plus.

Bonus qualifications 

• Scrum Master Certification such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM).
• Experience in the education technology sector will be considered a plus.
