  • Oversees detailed aspects of projects including planning/approvals, assignments, deadlines, budgets, and must keep up to date summary of activity and status. Must utilize a “stage-gate” type of development project/approval structure.
  • Works closely with all product development, production, and engineering manager/directors/executives in U.S., EU, and Japan to coordinate and allocate resources to various projects as needed and take initiative to remove obstacles that may hinder project success.
  • Must utilize organizational and operational skills, using internal and external resources, to help build a long-term sustainable infrastructure required to support expanded R&D and production activities including: IT infrastructure, quality control systems, ERP, PDM, facilities, and logistics/business processes.
  • Responsible for the coordination and completion of projects, including new product development, incremental product modifications, and manufacturing/ fabrication of critical components to support overall HORIBA production lines.
  • Help coordinate and complete all needed international product compliance testing using outside laboratories/ notifying bodies, which may include CE EMI testing, UL safety, ATEX/PED/ASME/CRN pressure and/or hazardous area compliance.
  • Help identify, establish relationships, qualify, and manage key outside vendors/ consultant resources utilized in development/design and production/fabrication activities, both at prototype and mass production levels as needed.
  • Help oversee and conduct some engineering product or systems design and product or systems performance/conformance testing as needed to support other engineering team members.

You will bring the following skills and knowledge:

  • Working knowledge of engineering, project management methodologies and budgeting as typically acquired through a bachelor’s degree or a minimum of ten years industry experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Technical/Engineering Field and 7+ years of experience in engineering project management OR 10+ years’ experience in engineering project and/or manufacturing/operations management related to semiconductor (or other “ultra-high purity” UHP) systems integration and/or gas delivery products.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and computer skills.
  • Ability to travel occasionally (domestic and international).
