We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Manager to coordinate and oversee projects to ensure efficient production processes and on-time delivery of high-quality products. You will play a critical role in orchestrating the production process, resource allocation, workflow management, and facilitating collaboration between cross-functional operations and engineering teams.
A strong attention to detail and proficiency in production planning, project management, and communication tools are essential for success in this role.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Production Planning & Project Management
* Collaborate with various departments, including Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Quality Assurance, to align production schedules with overall business objectives.
* Implement advanced scheduling techniques to minimize downtime and resource conflicts.
* Identify and assess operational project risks, escalating issues appropriately and implementing mitigation strategies.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
Process Optimization and Tooling
* Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains within the manufacturing operations.
* Leverage Confluence, Oracle ERP, Propel and other production scheduling tools to track progress, manage backlog refinement, and ensure accurate reporting.
* Analyze production data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve operational performance.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication
* Act as the bridge between operations, engineering, and business stakeholders, ensuring seamless communication and alignment.
* Prepare and present reports on project status, key metrics, and performance against objectives.
* Facilitate cross-team collaboration, ensuring dependencies are managed and expectations are clearly set.
* Bachelor's degree in a Technical or Life Sciences field (e.g., Operations Management, Supply Chain, Engineering, Biomedical Sciences).
* 3+ years of experience as a Project Manager or Master Scheduler in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the healthcare or biotechnology industry.
* Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Oracle ERP, Confluence, Excel).
* Knowledge of manufacturing processes, capacity planning, and scheduling techniques.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Certification in project management (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
* Experience in IVD preferred.
Hybrid Work Model: At Guardant Health, we have defined days for in-person/onsite collaboration and work-from-home days for individual-focused time. All U.S. employees who live within 50 miles of a Guardant facility will be required to be onsite on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. We have found aligning our scheduled in-office days allows our teams to do the best work and creates the focused thinking time our innovative work requires. At Guardant, our work model has created flexibility for better work-life balance while keeping teams connected to advance our science for our patients.
For positions based in Palo Alto, CA or Redwood City, CA, the base salary range for this full-time position is $90,300 to $124,200. The range does not include benefits, and if applicable, bonus, commission, or equity.
Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including, but not limited to, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. If you are selected to move forward, the recruiting team will provide details specific to the factors above.
Employee may be required to lift routine office supplies and use office equipment. Majority of the work is performed in a desk/office environment; however, there may be exposure to high noise levels, fumes, and biohazard material in the laboratory environment. Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
