Summary

We are seeking a proactive and highly organized Product Development Project Manager to lead the execution of project initiatives within our health and wellness supplement product development team. The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills, coupled with product development, sourcing, and vendor management experience, preferably with experience in the health and wellness supplement industry. This role demands a strategic thinker who can stay ahead of timelines, foresee and overcome roadblocks, drive accountability across departments and vendors, and ensure seamless communication and project flow from concept through launch.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Project Leadership
    • Lead cross-functional teams through the planning, execution, and delivery of supplement and wellness product development projects.
    • Define and manage project scope, objectives, schedules, and deliverables aligned with company goals.
    • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, resource allocations, budgets, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Vendor & Partner Management
    • Source, vet, and onboard third-party vendors, suppliers, and manufacturers.
    • Serve as the point of contact for vendor communications and performance accountability.
    • Ensure external partners meet timelines, quality standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Act as liaison between Product Development, Regulatory, QA, Marketing, and Supply Chain teams.
    • Drive alignment and communication across departments throughout the product lifecycle.
    • Facilitate weekly status updates, stakeholder meetings, and executive reporting.
  • Execution & Process Optimization
    • Proactively identify risks and roadblocks; lead issue resolution and contingency planning.
    • Implement and improve scalable processes for end-to-end project management.
    • Lead post-project retrospectives and incorporate feedback into future workflows.
  • Regulatory & Documentation
    • Support quality and regulatory compliance across development activities.
    • Maintain project documentation, including timelines, requirements, risk logs, and vendor records.
Education/Experience/Skills/Licenses/Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Product Management, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in a Project Management role, with some of this experience in the health and wellness supplement industry.
  • PMP certification is a plus but not required.
  • Proven project management experience with a focus on product development in supplements, wellness, or related consumer health sectors.
  • Strong ability to source, vet, and manage third-party vendors, suppliers, and manufacturers.
  • Experience managing projects from concept to launch, ensuring cross-functional team coordination.
  • Exceptional ability to stay ahead of project timelines, drive accountability, and over-communicate progress and risks to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical skills and a strong aptitude for problem-solving.
  • Comfortable owning OKRs with minimal oversight and shipping on aggressive timelines.
  • Skilled at identifying potential project roadblocks early and devising actionable solutions.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Resourceful, solutions-oriented, and adept at managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong familiarity with project management software tools (e.g., Asana/Jira, Airtable, and Notion Architecure, etc.)
