Campbell Malaysia also supports the region by supplying locally manufactured and marketed brands such as Campbell’s soup, Prego pasta sauces as well as Kimball & Cheong Chan sauces. Asia’s extended range of consumer food brands also include TST, Swanson, GoodTime & Nyam Nyam.


They join The Arnott’s Group’s portfolio of brands like Aussie legends Tim Tam & Shapes as well as New Zealand’s favorite Farm Bake Cookies to drive presence in Asia.


Position based in Petaling Jaya


The CAPEX Project Manager reports to SC Director. The main responsibility of this role is to (1) strategize Capex projects to support overall Supply Strategy for M&B Business strategy; (2) provide proposals and designs per latest technologies and suppliers/contractors in the food manufacturing; (3) owns managing overall Capex programs (reviews, spends and full Project Management process for all Capex projects; (4) ensure good governance and compliances to finance, procurement and safety requirements. He/she is responsible in managing all Capital Projects and proposals for Campbell Soup Malaysia.

Henceforth, the incumbent will assist in developing the annual strategic capital plans and oversee all current projects and execution, along with all cost tracking, project reporting to RHQ.


  • Manage a team of Project Engineers and ensure all Capex project execution and implementation to project deliverables with good handover to Production and Maintenance teams.
  • Leads and owns all updates on PJ Site Master Plan and all Capex projects on site to all stakeholders, including ALT.
  • Supports Procurement on technical designs, capabilities and other technical requirements.
  • Able to identify and develop minor through to major complex projects and the steps needed to accomplish the project end to end; can integrate these steps via a Project Management Model and lead the project through to successful completion.
  • Defines clear roles, responsibilities and expectations for core and extended team members (Site Support teams, Suppliers & Management). Review with Plant Engineers, EHS Team on prioritization of execution, roadblocks and clearances, JSA, permitting & total project schedules.
  • Delegates to others in ways that ensure both freedom to act, and appropriate support.
  • Determine the measurements to evaluate the project’s success.
  • Possess ability to gauge requirement for midstream adjustments and decisive to keep the project on track.
  • Delivers timely and objective feedback on accomplishments.
  • Develop and standardize Capital Project standards for Quality, Safety, and engineering standards in accordance with Campbell Requirements, and local authorities.


Knowledge, skills and abilities:

  • Minimum of 6 years’ experience in managing capital and complex projects in manufacturing
  • Masters / degrees in Electrical, Mechanical or Industrial engineering.
  • Possess excellent capital finance & project management skills, and technical engineering skills in design both of electrical and mechanical
  • Broad knowledge of process manufacturing systems, experience in Thermal processing/Packaging/Utilities preferred.

  • DOSH and OSHAS standards and machinery acts good understanding
  • Ability to work cross-functionally, manage diverse group and influence, deploy and manage strategic initiatives
  • Experienced in Brownfield and CAPEX projects
  • LEAN, Loss Analysis, Six Sigma Tools (added advantage)
